The Dingle peninsula was one of my favorite places during our trip to Ireland. There is wonderful music and great food and also SURFING. Click through for my favorite experiences on the Dingle peninsula.
Music: there is music everywhere in the summer in Dingle. But one of my favorites was seeing local musicians in St James’ Church. The concerts are every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30pm and cost 15euro.
Food: Reel Dingle Fish (just off the main drag) has some super fresh fish and chips for very chip. They have many different kinds of fresh fish and one portion is enough to feed two. Finish off the meal with some ice cream at Murphy’s Ice Cream (along the main drag). I like the Dingle gin flavor, which leads me to…
Distillery: Dingle Distillery recently won the award for World’s Best London Gin and I would assume that their whisky is going to be just as good. The guys at the distillery are very knowledgeable and you get to taste all of their spirits during the tour.
Hiking: take the strange hike through someone’s farmland where you get a close encounter with sheep to Eask Tower. You get a great view of Dingle and the Atlantic Ocean from the tower.
Surfing: I highly recommend a surf lesson with Dingle Surf. Their surf spot is located on a deserted beach and you even get to pass through the wonderfully scenic Conner Pass on the way there. Everything is included and the owner is super friendly.
Man, I wish I was back there…
